Overall the staff was nice, but we were treated as second rate guests and when asking for something we had to ask multiple times.
I love other Cracker Barrels when traveling but this one is closest to me and it never offers the same great food or great service as other cracker barrels. They are sloppier with plating food. It comes all mashed together on one plate. At least one side usually comes in a separate dish at other CBs. On this most recent visit, our sweet potatoes were extremely large and only cooked halfway. We told the waitress and she even took them away but still charged extra for them. The grilled chicken tenders were not cooked the way they are supposed to be, they were tough and looked mangled instead of like tenders. The cocacola cake was old and hard. I love Cracker Barrel, just not this one.
We have been going over to cracker barrel since it opened . We usually have good service and food. But what I have noticed is the service is getting worse and food quantity is getting less and the price is getting higher. Here is a good example. My wife purchased breakfast, oatmeal, muffin and side order of sausage. The sausage was about the size of a baby jar lid. When we got the ticket, the price for sausage was $2.99. I asked about the price and he said sorry that's what it is. So sad , just saying.
The only star was we were sat almost immediately...
The food was Delicious!! As I walked to my seat, every dish I saw on the tables looked deliciously prepared. Our server was just as awesome. Only downside....the hearty meal made the rode trip quite sleepy thereafter.
The food tastes like it was either frozen fresh, or just plain frozen. The Mac and cheese tasted like they had flour or some kind of powder in it. The fish was so bland with almost no seasoning. The mash potatoes was hard and tasted old. Over super dissappointed.
Ordered take away and our food was made fresh and tasted great. The only problem was our chicken and dumplings only had 2 dumplings and the rest was chicken but it was still good.
