(I wanna add that the EXPERIENCE was awful, however the OB nursing staff and is AMAZING!! They were the sweetest people I have ever met. Especially since I was having such a hard time, they kept me sane and gave me and my baby the best care possible. They deserve recognition for going above and beyond for their patients.)
Many of the staff at the hospital are talented and amazing people But this is the poorest ran hospital I have ever seen. If for some reason you are stuck going here just know that if you don't pay your bill in full you will be sued! even if you make payment arrangements with them they will still sue you. There billing dept. is so slow. You will not know what you owe until you are served.
Goto Herrin or Carbondale. Most of the nurses, drs, etc. of HRMC are great. The logistics side is a joke. Their fees are all "secret" and they won't release them, even under court order. This hospital is the only one in the area that is "for profit" if that tells you anything. Go somewhere else is my advice.
Upon being admitted to my room( which by the way was quickly)....I was met by nurse Ruth who was the sweetest person ever! She took great care in caring for ME and I know she had a full team if other patients but when she was in my roo, which was often , I was her only patient! Hospitalist Doctors Memon, Rudolph and Merza were very knowledgeable and caring! Their explanations of testsgs going on and happening were on a level of understanding.
My experience was wonderful! I hit the ER with chest pain and what seemed liked a "swarm" of bees entered my room! The care was awsome and medical staff was VERY knowledgeable! Dr Jaffa, Angel RN, Dolores RN, Trudy X-ray and all others in ER..... thank you!
There seem to be some bad reviews on this hospital, but let me clear things up.... This hospital is amazing and that means from the registration to the Dr. The nurses are polite and very caring. My nurse Shannon was wonderful. Dr. Hindi was Great.
The WORST experience of my life. I will never be back to this hospital. Ever.
